Here's the best case for Mizzou...the ban remains in place as the season starts and the kids play with a chip on their shoulder. They put themselves in a position (by winning early) to contend for a quality bowl. The national media will have already latched onto the Kelly Bryant story. If we win early and often, this will bring the ban into more discussions (and Mizzou in the headlines...no publicity is bad publicity, right). This simply provides another reason to talk about the Tigers and raise our local/national footprint. Then, the NCAA removes the ban and there's already a national following of the team. The kids have a mid-season "boost" and more to play for (inspiration). We continue to play well, this gets the hype machine going, and we finally get some of the momentum in recruiting. We finish the season strong with a bowl win to cement a solid start-to-finish, Mizzou-in-the-news season.
