A fair question, I would say.
Then there's also the question of China collusion. We've had a BS witchhunt over Russian collusion, so why is this not a concern? A bunch of CIA informants were killed:

Now, I'm no fan of the CIA, but we've been calling Trump a traitor (some of us) for 2 years on Russia.
It's a fair question what Amash is doing and what his motivation is for doing so.
