assimilate in order to be welcomed by God in the land He set aside for His people, the children of Israel. They refuse God's commandments, and suffer for their open rebellion before the Holy One of Israel.
One law for all. Strangers compelled to forsake false worship in exchange of the privilege of living in Israel.

But every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he may eat it. A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat it.
