In case you’re not aware the head coach is one of the main people who talk to the scouts, GMS and more. In fact the NFL will call the high school coaches as well. A head coach in this case Odom is a salesman or are you not following me here?
In case you’re not aware Odom clearly isn’t much of a salesman because he can’t get any top talent to come to Mizzou like Gary PInkel did.
I’m not blaming Odom I’m pointing out that Odom clearly doesn’t know how to sell players on Mizzou and he clearly doesn’ tknow How to sell or push his players over the edge to the NFL
Lock should have gone in the 1st round. Hall was in some cases projected as a 3rd round pick to not getting drafted. Many other mocks had 2 other Mizzou players getting drafted they didn’t.
I’m merely pointing out that in 3 years of Odom being the HC he hasn’ tdone We’ll getting his players drafted. In my opinion another case of him not being a salesman.
Look at New England they draft more players from Alabama than any team in the NFL... playing for that program gives that player an edge in their minds. Alabama doesn’t have some magic dust, they have a very good salesman at the head of the snake.
Odom needs to improve his very dry approach to talking with players to come here or promoting his players for the next level. That is what I’m saying
College football is WON by the best salesman, and those salesman can hire the best coaches to help with the coaching. Can you close deals? Same deal with college basketball coach K just goes out and sells the best players on his program. Can Odom sell water to a thirty man? I doubt it.
