1. If you read Tigerbored enough, you realize that there are many people who act like they want to, and think we should, fill out team with nothing but StL kids every year.

2. When you hire a new coach (and this happens every year at various teams across the country) you see an immediate bump in recruiting based solely on that guy's sales pitch and the expectation that things are going to change fast. Lots of schools achieve this bump regardless of their past record because the coach can make the kids believe that he's not going to suck like the last guy. Lots of schools except Mizzou.

3. We should not expect to get out pick of that litter, but Martin was sold as a great recruiter and he should be able to get some of those guys. No, we surely can't get Christopher, Love, and Fletcher. But Martin should be able to get Berry, fletcher, and Kasubke.
