this time last year, our RPI was around 18 I believe. We finished in the 40s, which isn't a dealbreaker except... baseball has a lot more parity around the country among mid-major teams than softball, so the baseball committee is much more apt to leave out teams from power 5 conferences with good RPIs if they have poor conference records (Mizzou softball last year would never have even sniffed the bubble if they were a baseball team).
That's why its imperative the baseball team takes at least a game in this series and the Vandy series. In past years we have gotten swept by those great teams and our SEC record has been below .500 (12-18 last year), ultimately screwing us in the eyes of the committee.
