like you that it can be BOTH a functioning catholic cathedral AND a tourist attraction.

Does one preclude the other?

I went recently to St John's church in richmond to see a reenactment of patrick henry's "Give me liberty of give me death" speech.

The church is a tourist attraction.

It is also a fully functioning church. It has a preacher, a choir and everything.
