This was a huge win in so many ways...

1. Beating a team ranked in the top 20 in the polls, on their home field.
2. Beating a team ranked #12 in RPI, on their home field.
3. There was not a dimes bit of different between us and them this weekend, on their home field, as evidenced by our 1-0 and extra inning losses in the first two games.
4. We get our 5th win over a top 25 RPI team, which pretty much no team we are fighting for an NCAA bid has. And we have a chance for 8-9 more.
5. We avoid a sweep, and lose only 1 game to .500 instead of 3.
6. We move closer to the 27th win that clinches a .500 record. Now we are at 24 wins, with SEC series and 9 games left against the bottom 3 teams in the conference, plus SEMO and UMKC. We will clearly qualify for the NCAA tournament now.
Just a great job this weekend by Coach Anderson and the girls, in a very difficult environment. Coming back from a 5-0 deficit in game 1 and forcing extra innings was a sign of their character. Winning today shows what this team is made of.
Sterk made a great choice in hiring Larissa Anderson.
