Up to this point Martin has no offense that fits anyone. He couldn't figure out how to utilize the top scorer in STL (Watson), and he has no semblance of and offense to utilize Tilmon. He makes players "play hard". But that won't get you to the next level as the top coaches make their players play hard PLUS those coaches scheme to talents of their top players.
