from the public. First, 90% of the time, you're dealing with criminals, who, by their very personage, are anti-social and breaking rules/norms/conventions/forced thinking (for Pickle). So those are going to be confrontational.

Even when you're dealing with a normal citizen - speeding, let's say. I'm ****ed off because a) I see people speeding all the time not getting stopped and it just happens to be me; b) I'm ****ed at myself for being stupid; c) I'm thinking about the money I'm going to be putting out to pay for it and the added insurance costs; d) it's taking forever for you to be able to scratch my name into a ticket or punch it into a computer.....so in other words, it's less than ideal situations.
