Usually, in the primaries it's the candidates screaming from the fringes who separate themselves by pandering and talking down our country. Then in the general election they abandon their truths and lie about being a patriot and a moderate.
In this case, the lie is in the primaries with the patriotic appeal. If she were to win the primaries, she would have to run more to the left.
This time, the outlier is someone who acts like a patriot and is nonpartisan wrt findings in the mueller report.
I don't believe it of course, but some will,l and it's good political strategy.
