if there wasn't going to be a favorable outcome, then 1 year would be better.
The school admitted to academic fraud, and the appeal seems to simply be..."We turned ourselves in, now don't punish us more." I'm not sure that's the way any legal system works after one committs an infraction or law.
The appeals committe is different from the committee that handed out the penalty which is different than those who investigated it. The NCAA is so screwed.
Meanwhile, North Carolina, and Auburn steam ahead despite real acaedemic fraud and pay offs. with Duke, whose recruitment of Zion deserves its own investigation, awaits.
