bracket you paid a buck or two and drew a team from the hat. There were payouts starting with the sweet sixteen. They also bundled picks 12-16 in each region so no one paid a for a 16 seed.
It caused you to root for teams you had never heard of or would have rooted for otherwise. It made for a fun tourney because you had a rooting interest in individual games.
