when Murray State discovered him by accident. Morant was at a Chandler Parsons AAU camp and playing three-on-three in an auxiliary gym when former Racers assistant coach James Kane was looking for a snack, but poked his head in and saw Morant. Kane was there to see Tevin Brown, now a freshman at Murray State, but was taken by Morant and started asking around.
By the time the camp ended, Morant was offered a scholarship in the parking lot. Other offers finally came after that, but he rewarded Murray State.
