last evening at St John's church in richmond, where patrick henry's speech took place.

It was interesting that a patriotic remembrance with actors in the roles of evil slave holders thomas jefferson and george washington and others was met with resounding approval and acclaim.

Not a single fat, blue haired, nose ringed lesbian shouting about women's rights, no signs saying the founders were racists.

The evening began with the church organist playing the songs of each of the four branches of our military and the audience singing along. Followed by God Bless America and then the national anthem.

No one kneeled.

The pickle and his sad followers would have been very uncomfortable and probably sued the church or demanded that the black national anthem be played as well. You know, anti americanism disguised as inclusion.

The crowd ranged in age from young children with young parents to people probably in their sixties, maybe a couple in early 70s. Typically, a smattering of blacks maybe three, and two of them i think were with white women. Didn't see any muzz and no camels were parked outside.

Interestingly i disagree with most in thinking that the line, "Give me liberty or give me death" is the most important line of the speech. Rather imo, it is "Gentlemen may cry PEACE PEACE, but there is no peace..."

Just like today. The coup is in full swing as both sides try to deny it. The civil war has begun as the Rs try to deny that what the left has done, and denies, is an attempt to "fundamentally transform" our country.

While socialists cry DOWN WITH AMERICA and OPEN THE BORDERS...Republicans cry STATUS QUO, STATUS QUO, but there is no status quo.

Paradoxically i mentioned after the event that the firebrand that was patrick henry is not unlike, in terms of passion, the firebrand that is Alexandria's Occasional-Kotex.

People filled with passion and revolutionary zeal, trying to make what they think is a better world.

The difference of course is that patrick henry was not an idiot.
