beakers found out this year...as did Burrito Bill...with the funds from Adidas drying up is certainly hurting them recruiting wise (obviously as they haven't signed any meaningful talent) but of material importance is the point that Adidas is no longer paying refs to throw games in favor of ku, most notably road games.
It is no surprise that KU goes 3-9 away from Lawrence this year and no coincidence that this is the year that they lost the streak. These are facts and they are not in question.
Seeing that he can't recruit on the up and up (because lets face it, what player in their right mind from outside of the state kansas actually wants to go to school in kansas...answer no one legitimately). To date they have signed two players with national rankings of 112 and 127.
You can feel the walls closing in on one of the most corrupt schools in NCAA history and if Self can leave to the NBA get a big fat raise and leave a steaming pile of poo for some poor bastard like Mark Turgeon to take over, he'll take that offer in a second and KU will retreat to the middle of the pack and start competing with TCU and T-Tech and Baylor for 5th place going forward...and let me just say this in closing...it couldn't happen to a better institution of "higher learning"
