Considering most of the hype for Dru is coming form the program, not the board as it did with Santos.
And when you consider that Dru's situation is more closely correlated with Earnest Ross, Jabari Brown, and Jordan Clarkson as transfers who sat out, then the comparison you're making is moot.
Santos didn't sit out a year with the program, he was a Juco transfer who elected to sit out for his year at Juco, after a freshman season at UIC.
