at 4pm.

Bradley was picked to finish 8th out of 10 teams in the MVC this year. They come in at 13-11, just like us, but against a far easier schedule. They are 0-2 against top 25 RPI teams, losing to Tennessee 8-0 and Stanford 12-5. They are 0-1 against top 26-50 teams, losing to Oregon 13-3. They are 4-4 against top 51-100 teams, with their best wins coming against decent Seattle and Texas St teams. And they have 4 losses to top 101-200 teams.

We should be able to score some runs on them, their team ERA is 4.16, with the 3 pitchers who throw the most innings and have started 22-24 games coming in with ERAs of 6.26, 4.38, and 4.06.

These midweek games can be tough to prepare for, particularly right in front of a big SEC series this weekend at Kentucky. I wonder if Norman will start, or if we keep her rested for the Friday game at Kentucky. Would be nice to get out on top early and let Gasper, Daniel etc take most of the innings today.

I remember last year I thought we took a SEMO team for granted, after winning game one 10-2 with Norman pitching most of the time, Coach Fogue started Baumgartner in game two instead of Rice, she got chased in the first inning for 5 runs before even getting 2 outs, and we never recovered, taking a bad 8-2 loss.

We can’t take any teams for granted this year, IMO, although this would be the game and situation to let Norman rest up before Friday.
