He managed to point out that Corey and his family never moved to Columbia, that he was leaving his alma mater, that SLU was not the flagship institution in the state, that he leaves as MU is preparing to go to Italy, and infer that Tate was not prepared to tackle the challenges of coaching and recruiting in the SEC.
Tate was put in an awkward position, because it was just assumed he would be able to deliver the players who were attached to him. In any normal scenario he would have, but we were D2 at the time so he was essentially hired for no point.
