STL's lack of an NFL team likely hurts Mizzou's recruiting more than it helps. It makes STL kids disinterested in football altogether and thus they have no interest in Mizzou.

It also doesn't make STL area football fans magically go to Mizzou games. No reason Mizzou should have empty seats when the state's largest metro area has no football.

St. Louis doesn't care about Mizzou so SLU making the tournament will not impact Mizzou at all.
