But if your employer wants to ask you questions about things you may or may not have done relating to your job, and you refuse to answer those questions, it's completely reasonable that your employer would keep you from working until they have their answers.

Using Wade as an example, if LSU lets him continue to coach, and then later he's found to be guilty of what he's accused of, then it's reasonable for both the NCAA and FBI to claim that LSU AD "knew or should have known" what Wade was doing and that it was illegal and/or against NCAA rules.
