How many chances did the Big 12 have to win a "nat'l title" from 1985 to 1996?

Your team was a member of the Big 12 from 1997 to 2012. How many "nat'l titles" did it win in that time to help the Big 12?

Was "lack of competition" the reason your program was not ever able to win "the conf" (Big 12) ANY year you were in it? If not, what would it be? If it was so bad, why couldn't your win it just once?

If our winning one "nat'l title" is "pretty sad", what description would you apply to your own program's number of them?
