Really we add about 3-4% of green house gases to the system...I'm a bit skeptical that we are effecting the climate that much. But for argument sake what can we do?
Really the only solution is to reduce the population by billions and to stop any and all industrial/technology advancement in countries outside the west...It is obvious if Climate change is being caused by man and our continued need for energy we need less men/women to consume energy that is causing the climate change.
Third world countries with their massive populations/birth rates now moving away from agriculture based society to a more Western style of life are creating more and more emissions. NO amount of taxes or regulations in the West will slow the tide on a global scale. It will just shift the cost to Us.
I'd rather take my chances that we can weather any global climate upheaval better than he rest of the world and then reconstruct. The other choice is we just pay through the nose decimate our economy and way of life and the rest of the world does nothing but blames us and wants us to fork over cash.
