different from how Union occupation forces treated common Missouri citizens during the WBTS. Missourians lost farms and businesses, their civil rights, including the right to vote, the freedom to come and go where they wished and in many cases they lost their lives. I am much less concerned with the treatment of the Nisei. Many weren't even born in America.
