This whole light bulb thing was Upton Sinclair all over again.
Explain again why the government needs to stick it's nose into what light bulbs we use?
Oh yeah, that's right, they don't, because they're idiots.
Now when LEDs are truly cheap enough to overtake incandescents, really do last as long as they claim, and don't put out weird colored light that makes you feel like you're under a city street lamp, well sure, they can EARN the marketplace position of leader.
But until then let the incandescents compete fairly with the new technology.
