Geist is a good player. Yes, of course, we’d prefer that there were more mature players around him to score more, but that does not diminish his shot which he knocks down with regularity when he gets a look. He knocks his fair share when he has a hand 8n his face too. His defense is solid, and his handle has been great with the exception of the LSU game where he turned the ball over once or twice in the last two minutes. Most every guard turns the ball over esspecially when they play with freshman who don’t wan the ball in crunch time. Look, Geist has surprised me, especially with his ball handling and shooting improvement, but he’s had as good a year as any guard since Denmon.....and that includes Pressey. Pressey cost his team a handful of games with late blunders when his team was depleted following the magical regular season in 2012. I would say, without looking at stats, that Geist was better in every category than Pressey when their teams were similar.
