It is incredible how much better pro's are. They are elite athletes by comparison. They have matured physically. They know how to play. Our best players all time as a program have just been decent or worse as pro's. Peeler had a nice, long career as a contributor in the NBA, averaging 9.7 ppg. Stipo averaged 13.2 ppg. Sunvold averaged 7.7 ppg. Doug Smith averaged 8 ppg in a brief career. Larry Drew averaged 11.4 ppg in a long career. Kareem Rush averaged 6.4 ppg in a brief career.
If motivated, for some unknown reason, Golden St. would turn us over repeatedly and shoot a ridiculous number of layups and transition 3's. They would get layups constantly in the half court set, as well. Seriously, 100 points as a margin was not a crazy statement.
