And further if evidence surfaced showing it was a lie that they would cover for him. The CPD did just that for as long as they could. It was obvious that they suspected that this was a hoax from the start but went out of their way to say his story was credible.
He needs to be charged with filing a false report and more importantly the city needs to present him with a bill for the man hours wasted investigating his claim.
