Here is a nugget of history for you. Miles heard of Cream being a "super group" so he put together *****es Brew with Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, John McClaughlin, Herbie Hancock et al. Late sixties Bill Graham produces a show in SF with that band, the Dead and others. Phil Lesh comments that he never wanted to "hear anybody *****ing about who they had to 'follow' b/c we had the One". Good fun. Miles intimidated everybody. Fun to see Grisman and Garcia cover him.
