Congress passed an assault weapon ban & Bush signed it (not unconstitutional.) If trump were to be successful in declaring a national emergency - when the current congress has just addressed the border issue (deeming it appropriate to fence an additional 55 miles of border)... What is to stop the next president from declaring a national emergency the next time there is a school shooting, and banning certain weapons.

AGAIN - you asked for an example. I'm giving an example, not advocating a position (and I'll guarantee you that I have more guns in my safe than you & footballtard combined.)

You cheer when the trump declares an emergency, but there will be consequences.
