I asked him if the congressman had a book on Robert E Lee and his office.
The staffer said he was aware of the story on CNN.
I asked if the congressman apologized and removed the book. The staffer said yes he did, and seemed pleased about that.
I asked why the congressman would do such a thing, to apologize to some wimpy sniffling liberal (my words) instead of just telling him to get over it.
I said gutless people like that are the reason I am no longer a Republican.
He thanked me for my call and said he woul tell the congressman about my concerns.
I thanked him for his time.
