that we haven't been able to compete better. I also think that we happened to get to the SEC at a time when a lot of the schools started emphasizing basketball more - maybe because they couldn't compete in football. It's been a tough slog and we keep hitting landmines which I hope will stop.
Talent is both more dispersed and more concentrated than ever. True talent is distributed by the shoe companies to their handful of favorites. 2nd level talent is being spread all around the country and you're not seeing regional power teams like you once did. You have to accumulate talent and coach it up over multiple years.
