that the mailing address was a PO box number. Wondered why it wasn’t a street address, where I might easily walk in with it and save stamp cost. Then it hit me maybe why...when I remembered a friend of several years, an engineer who I played pool with in the local bar at least weekly, in ‘87 thru ‘91 attempted to bomb 4 different IRS offices back in the PRC (Calif. for the politically correct).

It was and maybe still is the largest potential bombing ever of the IRS. Maybe at this time of year some of you, like myself, may feel a touch of empathy for him. Seems to happen to the nice guys. Some details of what he did and sentencing:
