Those guys don't tend to go to colder locations.
In the past five or so classes, the only top 100 recruits from that region who have gone to schools in cold states have signed with Duke or Kentucky.
A couple have ended up in Nevada or Oregon, which isn't necessarily SoCal weather but is at least still in the region.
The majority stay in California or a neighboring state.
Landing Christopher was always a bit of a pipe dream. We have a connection that helps, but without that we wouldn't even be on his radar.
