forever. one of my best ever TDY assignments was doing counterdrug insurgency work at the border. stationed at north island naval air station. woke up every day, hit Coronado beach, showered and then a driver took me down to San Ysidro POE every afternoon. pretty good gig for a 21-year-old army guy at the time. this was in the mid-'90s btw.
