ignorance of the general public is so profound. Having any kind of discussion about issues like healthcare and pharmaceuticals devolves into government seizing control because somehow a government monopoly on services and development of drugs will result in reduced costs.
Corporate profit is evil.
History of central planning failures is forgotten or never learned
Government is somehow a benevolent entity looking out for the good, except for evil greedy Republicans that will soon die off.
Rights are now what others have you should be able to take for yourself (behind the force of government) because they are greedy keeping it from you.
