you cannot cite a slippery slope example...but it's understandable...it's a fallacy.
4Tigers...this has been fun and I wish you well with Fox News viewing and all its fear mongering. However, the world is not going to hell in a handbasket...at least not due to progressives.
As for your examples: I hate to break it to you...there are all kinds of crazy lawsuits. There is simply not enough support for polygamy to come back in style. (Truth be told, I'm sure I would care, if it did). Welfare laws do more good than harm and certainly do not have anything to do with self-motivation. This country's greatest years came after we became a so-called welfare state and passed those crazy labor standards that kept kids from losing hands at the factories. As to DNA, it is unbelievably complex. Please do some research. In most cases, a persons "sex" is determined by their physical appearance, not even DNA. But DNA is tricky, some people may have a XY chromosomes, but look female. And surprisingly enough, sometimes what looks like normal XX isn't and the person looks like a male. There are also individuals that when they are born, the doctor wrongly chooses the sex based on the appearance.
So, what makes a male and female isn't so easy...is it the outward appearance or is it the hormones or something else...it certainly isn't the traditional sense of looking at the person's DNA, ie XX=female and XY=male.
