levels to get a great deal of economic outcomes under the guise of "planetary cleanliness".
I think scientists are largely happy to oblige, as the outcomes are popular, they get paid well to publish supportive results and feel good about themselves.
Scientists throughout history have agreed on critical things over and over and over and been later proven to be dead wrong - not due to a conspiracy to deceive, but rather for discounting massive data they don't have and making what they do have "fit" what makes sense with what they believe.
