human actions. A 600 lb person knows why they are, invariably swear they don't want to be that way and they know what to do about it. But they can't, in some sense of the word.

So this from the post is not necessarily correct: "A human acts whenever he or she uses means to achieve an end that he or she subjectively values." No 600 lb person values that body.
