Stupid idea by people who don't understand security/weapons

In an acive shooter situation, security has to be able to quickly identify the appropriate targets. If you have a bunch of people pulling at the same time, who shoots whom?

If there was an active shooter, the congregation would be in a panic and you have to be an expert shot to even attempt a shot. To have a CCW means nothing. Do you practice? Do you shoot at least 400 rounds /mo? Most have no business carrying because they're more likley to shoot an innocent or themselves than they are a perp.

There are armed off duty law enforcement people at many large churchs here who are trained and prepared to respond. Smaller churches need to decide how to handle this.
