pubs...Why didn't the house fund the wall in their 2017 budget and push it to the Senate, where they only needed 9 dem votes? They had Manchin, should have been easy to get dems in red states (Claire, etc,) that were vulnerable.
IMO, the house didn't make that move because they thought it was a wasteful tribute to trump's ego & they weren't willing to pay the price (their jobs) for such a vote. The GOP wanted the dems to vote for trump's wall, so that it can't be used in the next cycle.
