Any intelligent middle class person quickly understands this.

The poor already pay no taxes.

so the 'group' that would support high tax rates for 'rich' or 'other people' include:

1. Poor people who will pay no more in taxes regardless.

2. Dumb middle class people who believe the rich can be soaked with no effect on themselves.

Now, think of some dumb middle class people you know and consider their likely political leanings...
