Up till now I hadn't seen a word about his family name being tarnished, but OK the world is full of whacks and any threats against him or worse his family are beyond the pale.
But the interesting part is nowhere in his non apology does he mention his fellow classmates mocking the religious beliefs and culture of the native Americans. NOT one tiny word. And he was clearly laughing it up at the mockery. Phillips did approach him and he stood his ground. Perhaps he didn't notice all his other classmates were giving ground, perhaps he did. He did remain grinning and smirking
I wonder what was really going on in his head at the time, but I somehow doubt it was cultural respect as he admits he was taught.
But the rest of it essentially is the same as I have outlined, therefore he doesn't seem a tiny bit remorseful about the mockery and Brett Kavanaugh like seems triggered for being called out.
I realize bigots and republigistians and Trumpers will all excuse what the kids did, its just the way you are.
