Smarter than the people they cover, smarter than the readers, and thus their true opinion is far more valuable than the actual truth.
and, that their actual job is steering the unwashed masses of humanity into the grip of socialist progressive nanny state utopia.
After all, the system must be rigged, because they are smartest people on planet and yet routinely have less money fame, worse life than the successful people they cover.
