Of the best values in cars is a used PHEV (like a volt). They get the regular 20-30 percent depreciation that any new car gets the second it rolls off the lot but on top of that it gets another 7,500 "depreciation" too because once it rolls off the lot the tax credit is gone so a buyer would just go buy new. Given that you can get a couple year old PHEV for 30% sticker and the motor has been barely used (since it is a PHEV).
