Yes, the Buzzfeed “reporting” stinks to high heaven, and it should be obvious to anyone with an unbiased brain in their head. But can someone please tell me why the FISA court report on systemic abuse of the federal government’s surveillance power was not one of the top news stores of the last five years? It certainly should have been, if the MSM actually believed in the notion of a free press playing a role in the preservation of our constitutional republic and the protection of individual liberty.
In April of 2017, DNI Director Dan Coats released the report of FISA court Judge Collyer that revealed widespread abuse of the intelligence apparatus for political power, including exploitation of the metadata in the FBI and NSA networks and surveillance of the political opposition. It even revealed access of the surveillance databases by outside government “contractors” (Fusion GPS, Crowdstrike etc.) who were political operatives.
Thanks to the mainstream media being more of a propaganda machine than a journalistic endeavor, and the resultant paucity of any mainstream media coverage of this document, I wonder what percentage of the American electorate even knows about this Collyer report.
