A WALL on the southern border gives our border patrol something to defend.
Something the bad guys, the criminals who are committing the crime of illegal immigration have to cut or dig under or at least pause to get over before coming in.
It is a critical piece in a multi-faceted approach to border security.
Every security measure can be bypassed - no matter how elaborate.
The point isn't that no security measure is full-proof, it's whether that measure MATERIALLY ASSISTS in delivering the overall result.
A wall does that.
We can't put 2M border patrol agents across the 2,000 mile border.
We can't deploy 1M drones.
We can't fly jets every three minutes down the line.
What we can do is build a wall and the access road necessary to defend the border with the budget and personnel and technology we have now.
Given those limitations, a wall is CRITICAL to the mix.
Now, when you're ready to take a deep breath and have an ADULT CONVERSATION about border security you can leave time out.
Until then feel free to sulk with Nancy as long as you like...
