I have stated they are not a threat to US territory.

US interest in Iran is to decapitate them as we did Iraq so as to make Israel the sole serious power in the middle east. That was Bushco's plan anyway. Due to the fact that the young of Iran - and it is a very young country per demographics is pro Western, I think we should make inroads there as the Muslim is aging out.
