Juco players often require a year to acclimate to the speed of the game when facing a full roster of SEC/P5 players. Nance has already gone through that acclimation year and now had another year in the weight room.

He led Arkansas in catches his first year under Bielema but for whatever reason didn't grab the fancy of Morris last year, was hurt early and didn't play after his injury.

But he's a mature receiver who's proven he can play the position at this level and on a team that didn't throw the ball a lot -- his 37 receptions in 2017 were 16% of the teams total and his 5 TD catches were almost of third of the team's total of 17.

What's encouraging for MU is he COULD address the deep threat gap left by Hall's graduation: his 5 TDs averaged 32 yards per catch and he had TD catches of 49 and 44 yards; 2 100 yard games and 9 20+ yard catches with a long of 54 yards. Not Hall-like numbers but 30+ yards is a deep threat unless it's all yards after the catch (which isn't a bad thing either).

He'll have a spring and summer to get on the same page as Bryant.
