If you pull out immediately, there is a power vacuum which will be occupied by someone inevitably worse than who was there to begin with.

If you stay indefinitely, we sink further into a budget deficit.

Doing the former very quickly exacerbates the issue. Doing so without a plan AND very quickly is about the worst thing we could do.

Nothing to do with Trump; moving impulsively and quickly will sow far more chaos than was originally there. Lets hope Trump can be flexible in this and, you know, actually listen to the generals around him on how to do this the best way possible.
